Armağan Karahanoğlu

I am a Design Researcher who works on user-centered design of personal health technologies.

About me

I am currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Twente, Interaction Design Research Group of Department of Design, Production and Management. 

I have an Industrial Design academic background. During my PhD studies, I worked on understanding the dimensions of user experience of personal informatics systems, focusing on physical activity tracking.

I was granted with Fulbright PhD Student Scholarship, and I studied at Carnegie Mellon University, Human-Computer Interaction Institute (USA) during my PhD studies.  

I worked both as a full-time research assistant at Middle East Technical University (Ankara) and a design researcher at the UTEST-Product Usability Testing Unit (Ankara) for several years. 

After finishing my PhD, I worked as an Assistant Profesor at TOBB University of Economics and Technology (Ankara), Department of Industrial Design.
